Root Canal Therapy

Less Fear, More Relief

Relief from Pain. Protection for Your Natural Tooth.

Hearing that you might need a root canal can feel intimidating, but in reality, this treatment is one of the most effective ways to relieve pain and save a natural tooth.

At Torbram Dental, we focus on making the experience as comfortable and straightforward as possible. Our goal is simple: ease your discomfort, calm any concerns, and help you keep your natural smile whenever we can.

Know the Warning Signs

When a Root Canal May Be Needed

Inside each tooth is a soft inner layer called the pulp. When a tooth becomes deeply decayed, cracked, or injured, bacteria can reach this area and cause infection or inflammation.

This can lead to symptoms such as:

  • Ongoing or severe tooth pain
  • Sensitivity to hot or cold that lingers
  • Pain when biting or chewing
  • Swelling in the gums or surrounding area
  • Darkening or discolouration of the tooth

Without treatment, the infection can worsen and may eventually lead to tooth loss. A root canal helps stop the infection and save the tooth before that happens.

Pain Out, Tooth Saved

What a Root Canal Does

A root canal removes the inflamed or infected tissue inside the tooth, cleans and disinfects the area, and seals it to prevent future infection.

The purpose is simple: remove the source of pain while preserving your natural tooth.

Most patients are relieved to find that once the infection is treated, the discomfort they were feeling begins to improve quickly.

Calm, Clear, and Comfortable

What to Expect During Treatment

We understand that patients often feel uncertain before the procedure, so we take extra care to ensure you feel relaxed and supported throughout your visit.

During treatment:

The area is fully numbed so you stay comfortable
The tooth is sealed to protect it from further infection
The infected tissue is gently removed from inside the tooth
A dental crown may be recommended afterward to restore strength
The inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected

Depending on the tooth, treatment is typically completed in one or two visits.
